Discover our major heritage exhibition “Henry de Monfreid, from here and adventures”, dedicated to the rebellious and tumultuous life of Henry de Monfreid, famous Aude adventurer born in La Franqui (Leucate) in 1879.
The selection of documents and photographs presented, from the archives preserved since 2018, restores all the passion, the absolute freedom of this exceptional character, witness of an era, of the landscapes he frequents and which he offers to discover, particularly through his writings.
It’s up to the visitor to construct their own journey, their own story among the iconographic sources, the handwritten documents, and thus to follow the traces that Henry de Monfreid left, from here and from adventures!
Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on public holidays).
Exceptional openings Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, Saturday October 5, Saturday November 16 and Saturday December 14, 2024.
